Arshatha Ahmad

 

Ahamed Arshatha, originally from Kilakarai, India, now resides in Tokyo, Japan. She holds a Master’s degree and a B.Ed. in Mathematics and has a strong passion for athletics, particularly Throwball. Before moving to Japan, she made a meaningful impact as a Math teacher in India. Beyond teaching, Ahamed enjoys dancing and preparing wholesome meals. Since 2023, she has been a dedicated educator at Lakshmi Tamil School, where she finds joy in engaging with children and sharing the richness of the Tamil language. She firmly believes that fostering an interactive learning environment is key to empowering children and shaping their future success.

Dhivya Nallusamy

 

Dhivya Nallusamy, originally from Karur, India, currently resides in California, USA. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and has always been an avid athlete, with a strong passion for Kho-Kho. Before moving to the U.S., she worked in a private bank in India. Alongside teaching, she has a deep interest in dance and wholesome cooking. A native Tamil speaker, she has been teaching at Lakshmi Tamil School since 2024. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with children and embraces the opportunity to teach the Tamil language. She firmly believes that fostering an interactive Tamil learning environment will contribute to children’s future prosperity and success.

Sivaranjani Thinakaran

 

Sivaranjani Thinakaran is a former software engineer who left her job and moved to the USA to focus on raising her family. She holds a Master’s degree in Pervasive Computing Technology from Anna University and has three years of experience as an IT professional. Inspired by her family, she developed a deep love for Tamil literature and novels. Sivaranjani believes that Tamil is a beautiful language and essential for children to connect with their heritage. Passionate about sharing her love for the Tamil language and culture with the next generation, she has been volunteering as a Tamil teacher at Lakshmi Tamil School since 2023.

Smily Aravinth

 

I’m Smily, originally from Chidambaram and currently residing in Singapore. Teaching is my true passion. With a Master’s Degree in Power Electronics, I began my career as an Assistant Professor (EEE). Since moving to Singapore, I’ve continued to pursue my love of teaching through volunteer work. I find immense joy in working with children. I joined Lakshmi Tamil School in February 2024 and have been deeply grateful for the warm welcome and unwavering support from the Founder, the In-Charge, the Vice Principal, and all the teachers. Their encouragement empowers me to go the extra mile.

Helen Arul

 

Helen is a substitute teacher for Forsyth County in Georgia. Her passion for teaching led her to spend two years teaching at a Tamil school in California before continuing for another two years in Georgia, where she currently teaches. She has an incredible work ethic, actively engages students in the classroom, and inspires them to incorporate Tamil into their daily lives.

Saranya Parameswaran

 

An Electronic Communication Engineer with four years of IT experience, she is a passionate Tamil language educator from Tamil Nadu. She is grateful for the opportunity to teach at Lakshmi Tamil School and inspire the next generation, sharing the beauty of one of the world’s oldest languages. Her personal interests include gardening, nutrition, and yoga.

Anjana Sankaranarayanan

 

Anjana Sankaranarayanan is a Beginner Class teacher at Lakshmi Tamil School. She grew up in India, where she spoke Tamil at home and studied it in school and college. Passionate about the language, she enjoys teaching young children and helping them connect with Tamil. She currently lives in Houston, Texas.

Sharon Ebenezar

 

Sharon Ebenezar is a Computer Science Engineer with 14 years of experience in IT. Originally from Chennai, she moved to the U.S. in 2023 and now lives in North Carolina with her husband and two children. Passionate about contributing to meaningful causes, she enjoys interacting with children and collaborating with like-minded individuals. Sharon joined Lakshmi Tamil School in 2024 and currently teaches beginner students. Her love for children inspires her to create lively, engaging, and fun-filled learning sessions. Beyond teaching, she has a keen interest in gardening, nutrition, fitness, and, more recently, yoga. She is grateful to Lakshmi Tamil School for the opportunity to pass on the world’s oldest language to the next generation. Teaching Tamil gives her immense satisfaction and a deep sense of connection to her homeland, culture, and heritage.

Ramya Shanmugam

 

Ramya Shanmugam, originally from Chennai, India, currently resides in Canada. Holding a Master’s degree in Econometrics, she leads the Global Markets project management governance function at one of the world’s top financial institutions. Born in Mumbai and educated across Delhi and Chennai, Ramya has worked in multiple cities in India. A true polyglot, she speaks four languages fluently and has a strong understanding of many others. With a deep passion for teaching, she has been a corporate trainer for decades. Her love for Tamil and its rich heritage led her to join Lakshmi Tamil School in 2024, where she shares her knowledge and enthusiasm with young learners. In her personal time, Ramya is exploring Carnatic music and cherishing moments with her family.
